Let's rock! We're fairly sure that was the inspiration behind this album cover, but will this 'singles' compilation be to the taste of the hardened fan? Or can anyone have a quick lick?
Well, it was requested by the band's huge army of Twitter followers, but generally speaking this witty and intelligent Leeds based five-piece, have had more hits than you realise. Ruby and I Predict A Riot were huge radio songs not to mention spectacular stadium stompers and in many ways, raucous anthems for a frustrated generation.
Oh My God was not only different and unusual at the time of its release, but so versatile were the lyrics and the melody, that the song was beautifully covered by Lily Allen and Mark Ronson.
You will also bask in the timeless glory of Modern Way and Everything Is Average Nowadays. However the truth is, all of these songs come from just two albums; Employment and Yours Truly, Angry Mob. So there are really a couple of good reasons to buy this album. Firstly, it's convenient to have all your faves in the same place and secondly, there are a couple of brand new tracks thrown in to feed your appetite for something new. Will you like them? It's a case of suck it and see.
In any case, it's a cheap enough souvenir as you can pick it up for less than a tenner, but instead of looking at it and saying Everyday I Love You Less and Less, you may find yourself playing it more and more.
