David Heane
A little bit about David Heane...
I started out on the radio working at my local station in Leeds, writing the football scores down (I was only 12 and it was a while before the days of the internet!) and it just went from there really.
I did student radio at university in Brighton, then worked for the local station there for three years doing news and sport. After that I sampled the delights of working in Birmingham before heading to Manchester to produce news and sport and present at the weekends.
I've been doing High School Days on Fridays for quite a few years now, but I did have a year away as part of the launch team for radio station in Aberdeen, which was an amazing experience. But it's great to be back and I'm here Sunday to Friday from 8pm.
My best moment on the radio is still the night Peter Kay phoned in to request a song, then turned up in person a few minutes later to co-host the show with me... I don't think that will ever be topped, but you never know!
