Victoria Beckham may have complained about her ‘saggy stomach' in the past... but there was no sign of that in the sizzling Emporio Armani pictures.

The star herself puts this down to lots of hard work, telling reporters: "I have worked hard to be able to have the confidence to do it."

So, airbrushing or no, Victoria has worked hard to get abs like hers... and you can too.

Here are some tips:

Basic crunch: Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands lightly behind your head for support. Using your abdominal muscles lift your shoulders a few inches off the ground, pause briefly and return to start position. Complete at least one set of 10-12 reps.

Standing towel circle: Stand tall and hold a small towel taut overhead. Contract abs and slowly draw a large, wide circle over your head and around your torso with your hands. Keep towel pulled taut throughout. Return to beginning position and reverse the circular direction. Complete at least one set of 8-10 reps in each direction.

Oblique twists: Standing with feet shoulder width apart and holding weights above your head, twist the body at the waist to face the side. Hold for a few seconds and repeat, remembering to do another set of reps to the other side. See here for instructions in pictures.

Swimming: This is a great exercise for lengthening and flattening muscles, as are yoga and pilates.
