Sue Ryder Care is a national healthcare charity that provides specialist palliative and neurological care as well as community-based services across the UK.
The charity cares for people living with complex conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington's disease, acquired brain injury, stroke and cancer.
Sue Ryder Care is dedicated to helping people get the best from life whatever their condition. Locally the charity provides specialist palliative care for people living with life threatening conditions such as cancer at Sue Ryder Care Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
Sue Ryder Care Wheatfields Hospice need to raise more than one million in voluntary income to be able to keep on providing its services to the people who need it most.
Sue Ryder Care is inviting business leaders, company teams and individuals to take a crisp £50 note and make the money grow for the benefit of the charity.
The new initiative called ‘the Big Wigs Challenge' will run over a three month period. At the end of the challenge the most successful group will be named the ‘Sue Ryder Care - Wheatfields Hospice Entrepreneur of the Year' among other awards for imaginative ideas and for promoting the work of the charity.
It's a quirky fundraising initiative that will offer a great opportunity for companies to raise funds for their local charity in a funny way contributing to boost morale and also offering a great team building exercise. The Fundraising team at Sue Ryder Care Wheatfields hospice are available to offer initial assistance for anyone who wants to discuss potential fundraising ideas.
